Celebrate Halloween 2019 with Alex R. Knight III Novels and Short Story Collections

October, 2019, is here. Time for foliage, Oktoberfest, turkey hunting, Columbus Day (Thanksgiving, if you're in Canada)...and of course, the finale, Halloween!

I've been hard at work all year trying to bring you a new novel, Time Passages: Shadow's Acre -- and I promise you that it will be available before the end of 2020. It's been a long wait between novels, I realize, but this has not been without valid reason. I chose to write this novel after hitting a brick wall with an earlier effort, Order Castles -- which I will still bring to you at some future point. In the very personal inner world of a writer, sometimes brick walls can appear. A point at which you cannot continue with a story because the plot and characters, at least for the moment, elude you. This, thankfully, is not always a permanent condition. Often, just like in the real world, such walls crumble, over time. On other occasions you find your way over, under, or around them. What once looked like an insurmoutable obstacle suddenly looks workable -- maybe even like a great opportunity, once Father Time has done his work. I expect this will prove to be the case with Order Castles...although it will likely not be the first novel I go to work on after I finish the current one. I have other, more pressing stories in mind at the moment -- but all of them are pressing, ultimately, so I intend to make them available to you in due course. And rest assured that I will, in the future, try to make "due course" not so long of a time span as you have already waited.

My next collection of short fiction, Knightmares, is in the works, and it will contain brand new tales and older ones; stories previously published elsewhere, and some not. I also plan to make it substantially longer than either Victoria's Place and Other Tales of Terror or Tales from Dark 7, with maybe twenty stories -- ranging from novelettes and novellas, to short-shorts and flash fiction. I expect it'll be fun, suspenseful, diverse -- and hopefully, scary as hell. So please look for it in the near future (2020-2021 timeframe), as well.
